For many people, the mention of joining a network marketing company makes them fearful. They are fearful of their weaknesses, or perceived weaknesses. Before giving it much thought most people simply say that it’s not for them. What they are really saying is that they are afraid because they don’t think they can do it.
People know that any business involves selling. And to sell something you usually have to talk to people. Why are people so afraid to talk to others about their business? It’s because of two things: a lack of confidence and a lack of knowledge.
These two simple reasons keep people from starting a business and becoming successful. And both of these reasons are related to each other. Once you have confidence about something you are always willing to share with others. However, this confidence comes from knowledge. The knowledge of what you are talking about.
The Little League coach has lots of confidence when he or she is coaching the children how to play. Why? Because they know enough to feel confident. It’s the same with business. Once you know enough about your product you have the confidence to talk about it.
The products are important and they must be moving in order for the company to survive. However, all good distributors will buy the products each month. If they are recruiting team members regularly who also buy the products, then the products will be moving with no problem.
So if you are one of those people who think that network marketing is scary, it’s because you don’t have the knowledge. Take the time to learn and you will become confident. And once you are confident you begin to share your knowledge with others. It is so easy to talk to people when you know what you are talking about.
